From Here to There
A Regional Touring Exhibition

A new regional arts initiative is bringing the Sierra to life through creative expression. From Here to There is a multi-venue, traveling exhibition showcasing the voices, landscapes, and stories of artists across the Central and Eastern Sierra.
This exhibition marks the inaugural project of the Sierra 7 Arts Alliance—a collaborative network of arts organizations working together to strengthen cultural connections across seven counties.
About the Exhibition
From Here to There features a curated selection of work from 31 artists across Alpine, Amador, Inyo, Mariposa, Mono, and Tuolumne counties. Chosen from more than 150 submissions, the exhibition highlights a diverse range of artistic perspectives inspired by:
- The Sierra’s dramatic landscapes
- Native flora and fauna
- Rural communities and cultural identity
- Deep connections to land and place
This interdisciplinary collection offers a powerful glimpse into the creative spirit of the region and the people who call it home.
A Regional Collaboration
The Sierra 7 Arts Alliance brings together:
- Arts and Culture Alpine County
- Amador County Arts Council
- C5 Studios Community Arts Center
- Inyo Council for the Arts
- Mariposa County Arts Council
- Mono Arts Council
- Tuolumne County Arts Alliance
This partnership is supported by Sierra Jobs First, a statewide initiative focused on economic resilience, sustainable tourism, and community vitality.
By elevating arts and culture as a key part of the visitor experience, the project aims to deepen connections between people and place—encouraging more thoughtful, meaningful engagement with the Sierra region.

Through this exhibition, visitors and residents alike are invited to explore the Sierra beyond recreation—to connect with its stories, cultures, and communities. By fostering these connections, From Here to There supports a more sustainable and respectful approach to tourism while strengthening the region’s cultural landscape.
Exhibition Tour
From Here to There is traveling to venues across the region from March through September 2026, expanding access and visibility for participating artists while building connections between communities.
