Mariposa County Arts Council and Sierra Foothill Conservancy are thrilled to announce Summer Job openings for Lead Facilitators + Instructional Support Staff, SEL Coordinator & SEL Manager for their Art + Nature Day Camp program.
These positions offer individuals the chance to play integral roles in fostering creativity, curiosity, and environmental stewardship among TK-6th grade students in Mariposa, California.
2026 Day Camp Dates
The Summer Camp program runs from June 15 to July 24.
Week 1: June 15 – 18 (4 days)
Week 2: June 22 – 26 (5 days)
Week 3: June 29 – July 1 (3 days)
Week 4: July 7 – 10 (4 days)

Job Openings
LEAD FACILITATOR
We are seeking enthusiastic and creative Lead Facilitators Artists to join our Art + Nature Day Camp program. Lead Facilitators will develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned curriculum for students in grades TK-6th, integrating art and environmental education content. Key responsibilities include curriculum development and delivery, mandatory training participation, and creating a supportive learning environment.
TK/K LEAD FACILITATOR
We are seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic and creative TK/K Lead Facilitator to join our Art + Nature Day Camp program. This Lead Facilitator will focus on our youngest campers– those entering TK and Kindergarten. They will develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned curriculum and activities, integrating art and nature education content. Key responsibilities include curriculum development and delivery, mandatory training participation, and creating a supportive learning environment.
INSTRUCTIONAL AIDE
Seasonal Day Camp Aides are entrusted with the care and supervision of a designated group of youth participants and are fully responsible for supporting their group throughout the camp day. Working closely with the Lead Facilitator, aides are responsible for group management; actively supporting curriculum delivery and educational outcomes, planning and executing group games and activities, and ensuring safety and engagement through activities and transitions.
SOCIAL EMOTIONAL MANAGER
Mariposa Arts Council and Sierra Foothill Conservancy are seeking a highly qualified, compassionate and dedicated individual to fill the role of Social Emotional Manager for our Art + Nature Day Camp program. This position is integral to ensuring that all students, especially those who may be vulnerable or facing challenges, receive the academic, social, emotional, and physical support they need to thrive in our camp environment. This individual will work one-on-one with students to provide camp-tailored counseling services when necessary. They will be a leader for Social Emotional support at camp, and work closely with the Social Emotional Coordinator to determine and provide behavioral, social and emotional support to the camp community. The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of social emotional learning principles and methodologies, as well as a commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive camp community.
