Seasonal Day Camp Aides are entrusted with the care and supervision of a designated group of youth participants and are fully responsible for supporting their group throughout the camp day. Working closely with the Lead Facilitator, aides are responsible for group management; actively supporting curriculum delivery and educational outcomes, planning and executing group games and activities, and ensuring safety and engagement through activities and transitions.

Mariposa Arts Council and Sierra Foothill Conservancy are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to fill the role of Social Emotional Support Manager for our Art + Nature Day Camp program. This position is integral to ensuring that all students, especially those who may be vulnerable or facing challenges, receive the academic, social, emotional, and physical support they need to thrive in our camp environment. This individual will work one-on-one with students to provide camp-tailored counseling services and manage crisis response for all members of the camp community, including fellow staff members. They will be a leader for our Social Emotional support team at camp, and work closely with the Social Emotional Coordinator, the Mentor Educators and Camp Directors, as well as outside partnering agencies to determine and provide behavioral, social and emotional support to the camp community. The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of social emotional learning principles and methodologies, as well as a commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive camp community.

Sierra Foothill Conservancy and the Mariposa County Arts Council are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Nature Engagement and Mentorship Lead to join our Art + Nature Day Camp Program for students in grades TK-6th. As a Nature Engagement and Mentorship Lead you will play a vital role in designing and facilitating integration of nature-based curriculum, leading instruction, and mentoring camp facilitators. You will also be responsible for providing meaningful support for youth education volunteers and community partners in the implementation of nature-based concepts through place-based learning stations on the Mariposa Creek Parkway and at SFC’s Stookey Preserve. All camp activities and curriculum are based on a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and a love for both the natural world and the arts.
