From Here to There – Touring Art Exhibit Opens Call for Art

In a unique collaboration between leading arts organizations across seven counties, artists who reside in Amador, Alpine, Calaveras, Inyo, Mariposa, Mono and Tuolumne Counties are invited to submit artworks for an interdisciplinary arts show facilitated by the Sierra Seven Arts Alliance that will tour the region, showing at multiple locations between February and August, 2026.

Mariposa Student Competes in State Poetry Out Loud Finals

This month, twelve local students competed in the Poetry Out Loud Mariposa County Finals.
The County Champion title was awarded to Daniele Mattocks Turck, whose vibrant and nuanced performances of ‘What to say upon being asked to be friends’ by Julian Talamantez Brolaski, ‘And Soul’ By Eavan Boland and ‘A Poison Tree’ by William Blake scored very highly with the judges.
