Alongside Sierra Foothill Conservancy, the Arts Council is providing a free arts + environmental education day camp for students TK-6th grade enrolled in the Mariposa County Unified School District (MCUSD) or Sierra Foothill Charter School.

Mariposa Student Competes in State Poetry Out Loud Finals

This month, twelve local students competed in the Poetry Out Loud Mariposa County Finals.
The County Champion title was awarded to Daniele Mattocks Turck, whose vibrant and nuanced performances of ‘What to say upon being asked to be friends’ by Julian Talamantez Brolaski, ‘And Soul’ By Eavan Boland and ‘A Poison Tree’ by William Blake scored very highly with the judges.
