
Right now, selected artist Erica Wolfsen is preparing final designs for an approved mural series in Coulterville County Park as a part of our Working Lands, Working Artists project. The public is invite to review concepts and offer constructive feedback today through September 10, 2023.
Working Lands, Working Artists is a project from Mariposa County and the Mariposa Arts Council that engages local artists to develop public art/creative placemaking projects. Designed by three individual artists, these projects will explore our community’s relationship with agriculture and working landscapes in response to community feedback from the Mariposa County Agriculture and Working Lands Conservation Plan (AWLCP). Artists are currently refining their concepts with support from the Arts Council, Planning Department and individuals on the AWLCP Committee.
Working Lands, Working Artists is a partnership project from the Mariposa County Arts Council and Mariposa County Planning Department and funded by an Our Town grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. This project is designed in alignment with the Mariposa County Creative Placemaking Strategy.
